Looking for a fun Pumpkin Sensory Bin idea? These bottle lid letter pumpkins are a great way to play and learn letters and in a sensory way.

The pumpkins for this sensory bin are super simple to make. Here’s how we did it.

Pumpkin Sensory Bin Pumpkins

To make the pumpkins:

1. Print out the FREE PRINTABLE letter circles, from the form at the end of the post. Print them on orange paper.
2. Cut out the circles.
3. Glue them to Large Bottle Lids (Alternately, you could print them on cardstock and laminate them.)
4. Clip Green Clothespins to the top as stems. You can find colored pins at the dollar store or make your own with a can of spray paint and plain wood pins.

We filled our sensory bin with beans, but you could use colored rice or shredded green crinkle paper. The shredded paper could imitate a vine filled pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin Sensory Bin Learning

The FREE PRINTABLE letter pumpkins come in both capital and lowercase letters. You can print the letter circle pages on white and then pull out the pumpkins to match the letter circle pages.

Try matching lowercase to lowercase and capital to capital letters. Then, when the kids are ready, you can have them match lowercase to capital letters.

If the kids are ready for something more advanced, have them try spelling their names in pumpkins. They could also try spelling sight words with their letter pumpkins.
