Love Bug Name Spelling Crowns
Valentine Love Bug Crowns are too adorable and so much fun to make. We love ours to be a bit educational, adding our names in the front. It gives kids cutting practice to cut out their hearts and name spelling practice to glue their hearts in order.
Roll, Count and Spin Hearts
This pre-clock activity is fun counting and addition practice for preschoolers and kindergartners. You can let each child make their own, or have a few put together in a center. You’ll need brads and paper plates to go with the printable.
Musical Chairs Heart Counting
This twist on Musical Chairs (or the Cupcake Walk) is a huge hit with the kids. They walk around the table while music plays. When the music stops, you have to:
- Stop
- Find the nearest penguin, and
- Count the correct number of hearts onto his tummy.
We love these plastic hearts, but candy hearts or other manipulatives work as well.
*Want to know where we find our fun supplies and manipulatives? We’ll include links to make it easy. We might even get a small commission if you make a purchase through our links.
Sensory Heart Counting Sticks
Children love the touch and feel aspect of this counting activity. Just add Craft Sticks, Velcro Dots, and Candy Hearts.
Match and Clip Hearts
Work on hand strength while counting and matching upper and lowercase letters. You can find the clothespins here:
Valentine Sight Words Practice
These beginning sight words are on the back of cute penguin valentines. You can trace and write the words with a dry erase marker.
Who Am I – Clue and Guess Game
We LOVE this interactive guessing game. Children have to attach a letter, number, or color heart to the front of their hats – without PEEKING! Then they walk around and ask the other children for clues. For example: It’s the first sound in apple. It’s the color of the sky… ect.
Alphabet Heart Bingo
Bingo is always a crowd pleaser. This one is in black and white, so you can print it on white or colored paper. You could use stickers, these plastic hearts or even candy hearts as your bingo markers.
Counting Chocolates
Heart Alphabet Puzzles
Playdough Shapes
Heart 10 Frames
Make and Trace Numbers
