Classroom Ideas Resource List

Would you like to know what tools and resources we use in our classroom units?

I’ll give you a list of our favorite manipulatives and tools, so you can find them in one, easy click.

Magnetic Letters and Numbers

Magnet Letters & Numbers
We use these for so many different things. They are great for writing centers, letter recognition games, math games and so much more.

Dot Markers

Dot markers are great for fun art projects. We also use them for letter finds, bingo games, making letters and numbers, do-a-dots and so much more.

Snap Cubes

We use snap cubes for counting, measuring, forming numbers and letters, addition, as well as bingo or game markers. The kids also love to creative build and pretend play with them.

Jumbo Tweezers

We use these for all kinds of fine motor skills and hand strengthening practice. You can add them to so many different activities throughout the year. They are also fantastic in sensory bins.

Transparent Spinners

These are fantastic to use on any type of spinning game. You simply set the transparent spinner on top of any spin page and flick to spin. Alternately, you can draw directly on the spinner with a dry erase marker for additional learning game options.

Counting Bears

Counting bears are great for sorting, graphing and counting. My kiddos also use them for different kinds of pretend play.

Colored Dice

Dice are a fantastic math tool. I love this set, because you can sort them by colors, add by colors, graph and more. Having all of the colors just gives you more options to adapt them for additional learning games.

Shape Blocks

We use these in several of our Preschool Units and in our Kindergarten Math Units. They are also amazing for free choice time. Kids will build and create all kinds of things, working on both art and math.

Link Clips

These links are another great math tool. We use them for counting, non-standard measurement, combining sequencing cards and creative play.

Clothespins or Pegs

These are a staple in our learning tubs. We use the plain and colored clothespins for so many different types of activities. Happily, they are great fine motor practice as well.

Silicone Baking Cups

We use these for sorting and memory games where the cupcake liner covers an object or letter. They make a fun and challenging building material for your block stations. They are also fun in a pretend play center or in sensory bins.

Magnet Kit

These are great fun for the science center. Children love exploring with magnets. We also use the magnet wands for fishing type games, reading and letter recognition activities.

Themed Counters

These fun counters are perfect to use in various themes as manipulatives. We count, classify and sort them. They are also fun for sensory bins and even dramatic play.

Alphabet Lacing Beads

Perfect for fine motor skills, spelling names, words.

Eye Droppers

These are very compact and easy to store, and they are so fun in sensory bins or science experiments. The children absolutely love them.

Shape Buttons

Perfect to begin learning shapes different shapes. Use them for counting, and sort by color and shape.
