The month of hearts is coming up, and my kids and I had a great time creating these cute Valentine’s crafts. We created ours a paintings for the art wall, but they would also make adorable handmade Valentine’s cards. They were so easy to make, and the kids loved that we got to use our old toilet paper rolls and, of course, paint.
First, we gathered our supplies. All we used was red paint, a sheet of paper, and an old toilet paper roll. You will also want to set up a clean space covered in plastic or paper so little paint splatters don’t find their way onto your floor or counters.
We folded the center of the toilet paper roll in to create our heart shape.
Then we dipped one end of the toilet paper roll into the paint and stamped the page with our heart. We had to re-dip the toilet paper roll stamp in paint between every stamp to get a full heart shape, but the kids loved that.
Then just stamp away. You can use multiple colors of paint if you’d like. Create your own pattern, and have fun. We ended up with little drips of paint here and there, but they added extra character. The only project only took a few minutes, but the kids were so proud of the finished product.
Start saving those toilet paper rolls, and enjoy!

This is such a fun project for little hands. It’s not too complicated for them and it’s been kept simple with one color. Thanks for linking up to the Creative Crafts Round Up!
A great project for the little ones. I really enjoy working with repurposing items like TP rolls. I was so sad to hear it when they came up with a roll that didn’t have the core. My first thought was “there goes my crafting!”
Seriously. 🙂 What would we do without our empty toilet paper rolls?
I like how simple this is. You don’t have to buy a bunch of stuff Great idea for the young and old.
Fast and simple activities are my favorite.
