I love these monthly worksheets and so does my 4 year old! Teaching from home has been a lot easier this last year with the help from Planning Playtime. Let me start with I am NOT a teacher, and I was completely overwhelmed with trying to plan out daily activities and “school work” for my daughter that not only would help her learn but be fun and exciting to do. You would think that at this age it should be quite simple and easy enough for anyone to do it but if I’m being honest I panicked. Struggling to do this on my own, it made me inconsistent at first and I almost gave up (I give teachers a lot of praise because I could not do what you do especially with more than one child) but when I found this website I bought a couple months in advance, including the activity binders and it’s helped so much. Not only has my daughter learned a lot more than I expected but its taught me how to keep a good schedule and make sure I’m keeping up with my daughters schooling while we’re staying at home. As a parent you always wonder if you’re doing enough, or making the right decisions. Having this amount of help has definitely made me feel better about choosing to keep her at home. She’s so excited every single day to do schoolwork and on the weekends she complains that those are our break days (mainly for my own sanity.) So I always make extra copies of these to give her and let her try on her own for fun to see how well she’s doing and how much she’s actually learning.
I will always recommend this website for anyone who’s got kiddo’s at home, and even suggested it for my friend (who is actually a preschool teacher/aid) to check out in case she wanted to grab some of the activity binders for her preschool class as well.
