This Kindergarten Writing Unit 4 is all about Informational Writing. Kids will learn to write “How To” pieces on various topics.

The centers include practice for:

• Teaching with our Words
• Teaching with our Pictures
• Including Supply Lists
• Transition Words
• Sound Spelling

Children can practice putting transition words in the correct places in a pre-written story. They can create their own writing using pictures and keeping instructions in sequence. They can also practice sound spelling using the Sounding Out Words Machine.
