Fun Weather Science Activities
Are you looking for super FUN science activities to complete your Weather lesson plans? The Weather Science Activities theme is perfect and will keep your kiddos learning and excited for more science fun.
Bonus, the activities are SUPER easy for you too.
This science unit is as easy as print and slip the pages into sheet protectors.
Grab the simple tools needed, pull out the experiment cards, and get ready for ridiculously fun, hands-on learning to begin.
Children will have the opportunity to practice a variety of science skills from making predications, to observing, classifying, understanding attributes, and more.
Science is important for a few reasons:
1. Learning to classify, sort, observe, and make predictions is part of everyday life.
2. Science is all around us from mixing paint colors, cooking, or playing outside. You can incorporate science into everyday fun.
3. Skills learned through experiments and exploration are cumulative so your child will continue to build on what they know and learn.
Included in the Winter Science theme are 10 different activities and experiments to practice preschool science skills. Enjoy activities like forming hypothesis and making predictions to create an cloud and snowstorm in a jar. Kids will flip out as they create a rainbow and watch water “walk” while learning about absorption. There is a water cycle experiment complete with visuals to use as an anchor chart too. Practice weather vocabulary and fine motor skills with the weather playdough mats. Learn about wind and experiment with objects wind can and can not move with the wind station. Build a rain gauge and record daily rainfall totals. Learn about how clouds fill with water to create rain. All the hands on activities use easy materials and can be set up in less than 30 minutes!
