Do you need June or Summer Math and Literacy Centers? Morning tubs are often used as students are coming in and settling in for the day. They engage kids while attendance is being taken, homework folders are being opened and checked, and those types of daily tasks. Math and Literacy Centers are great for a couple of reasons.
- Building Independence: Kids are able to work on their own or in small groups at their table to use their bin(s). It encourages them to self-start and learn/play on their own.
- Socialization: Math and Literacy Centers give kids a chance to work together in small groups. They get to share pieces, solve problems together, and even just talk, play, and learn for a few minutes with a couple of their tablemates.
- Creativity and Play: Creativity is something we can build and increase by spending time working on it. Math and Literacy Centers are a perfect way to introduce a little more play and freedom into learning rather than traditional worksheets or morning work that kept kids busy but did not encourage creativity and play.

June Morning Tubs

Campfire Letters
Use this activity as a tactile way to learn the alphabet. Kids get to actually “build” the letters using mini craft sticks or you can sub out for playdough.

Pineapple Emotions
Work on your social emotional learning with these fun emotions playdough mats. The pineapple friends are so fun to work with.

Color Punch
Hole punching is such an exciting, novel way to practice grip strength and get kids ready for scissors and pencil work. They’re sorting and identifying colors at the same time for an amazing combo preschool activity.

Melon Seed Counting
What are you making your seeds out of? We switch it up using things like buttons, playdough, pom poms, and actual, real watermelon seeds.

Can you please tell me what bundle your color strips to punch are in? Or if it’s possible just to buy those strips? I’ve gone through so many bundles and don’t see them. Thanks!
Hi Cassie,
They are in the June Morning Tubs! We do not currently offer single items outside of a theme.
