Valentine’s day was always a favorite holiday of mine as a child, and that memory has made it so much fun to work on this set of Kindergarten Math and Literacy Worksheets for February. I love the hearts, the flowers and all of the bright, happy colors after the long month of January. It doesn’t hurt to have a bit of chocolate thrown in there as well.
For this set of printables, I’ve combined winter themes of penguins, polar bears, and other snowy fun with Valentine hearts, flowers, and early hints of spring. The worksheets are common core aligned to teach kindergarten level addition, subtraction, word problems, graphing, counting, sight words, word families, rhyming words, reading comprehension, writing, syllables, and so much more. All of the worksheets are no prep, ready to print and use with your lesson plans or in math and literacy centers.
FEBRUARY KINDERGARTEN WORKSHEETS
My kids had a couple of favorites this month. The first was the Flower Buzz Rhyming Words worksheet. The children must read the words on the flower petals and color the flowers where all three words rhyme. They also loved the Sight Words Cupcake Decorating Valentine theme worksheet. Who doesn’t love piping colorful frosting on top of fresh baked cupcakes? This doesn’t quite compare with that, but it is the next best thing. The children get to color the cupcakes and frosting according to the sight word on the cupcake.
As usual, I like to give you a sneak peak at most of the worksheets in the set. Here are the fun printables this month:
