Ocean Theme Math Activities for Preschool
Anytime we are teaching early math we need to cover different parts of number sense. In the following math activities, you’ll find counting, subitizing, graphing, 10 frames, and more to teach number sense during your preschool Ocean theme.
Jellyfish Tentacles Counting
Playdough is a favorite with my kiddos. For this fun activity, you can roll out the correct number of tentacles and place them under the jellyfish.
Divers I Spy Fish Counting
Pretend to be a diver. What can you see? Count the sea creatures listed on each card into the ocean scene.
Shell Count and Collect
My kiddos love playing with seashells. You can use traditional shells or something a bit different like these cute, colored starfish manipulatives.
Spin & Count Earth Day Cleanup Game
I found the cutest little fish mini erasers this week, and we used them for counting sea creatures into our ocean. You could also use buttons or other fun ocean themed manipulatives.
