Pretend Play Garden – Made from pool noodles
My kiddos can’t stop playing with these pretend play gardens that we made with pool noodles and burlap. You can use food toys, or I included printable food in the set.
Pigs in the Mud Counting
Kids LOVE mud. It’s just their thing, and this gives them a little chance to play in it. You can have a bin of actual mud with a cleaning station, or turn some brown playdough into your mud puddle.
Farm Fence Patterns
Patterns are an important preschool skill. For this activity, children get to copy fence patterns with colored craft sticks. They can also practice continuing the pattern and then making some of their own.
Letter Sheep Find & Cover Game
Toy letters turn this sheep themed letter hunt into a fun find game. We used cotton balls as our markers.
Fill the Seed Packet Counting
We loved this seed counting activity for our preschool farm theme. You can choose the actual seeds of the listed plants if you’d like. I opted for pumpkin seeds because they are large and easy for small hands to handle.
Paper Bag Farmer Hat Craft
We had the best time making these paper bag farmer hats. They are super simple to make.
- Flip a paper grocery bag inside out.
- Roll up the edges and shape the hat.
- Print, color and glue on the Farmer Badge from this set.
- You can also add a ribbon if you’d like.
Tractor Tire Letter Match
Count and Corral Animals
I build the craft stick fence pieces for this activity before hand. The children got to add playdough to the base and build their own counting corrals. So fun!!
Collecting Egg Colors Practice
Color matching is a great way to use those leftover Easter eggs. We made our hen’s nest out of a planter from the dollar store and leftover Easter grass.
Picking Corn Counting
Peas in the Pod Counting
MacDonald’s Barn Puppets
I love this fun twist on the Old MacDonald song. In our version he has a barn, and we’re counting finger puppet animals into it.
Picking Berries Counting
Barn Sight Words
Farm Words Writing Practice
Farm Letter Sensory Bin
