Are you looking for a fun way to keep your kid’s Preschool Skills Sharp over the summer?
The August Preschool Binder was created to make preschool ridiculously fun for kids while being incredibly easy for you.
Kids will get all the fun of hands-on learning with a simple grab and go binder and some toys from around your classroom.
Why are our Monthly Preschool Binders so popular with moms and teachers…
- Building Independence: Kids are able to work on their own or in small groups at their table to use their binders. It encourages them to self-start and learn/play on their own.
- Easy Prep: Print and slip the pages into sheet protectors. It’s that simple! No cutting and laminating required.
- Play-Based: These interactive, hands-on activities are built to engage little minds, use multiple senses, and make learning ridiculously fun.

August Preschool Binder Activities
Pattern Block Alphabet
Build the alphabet letters using pattern blocks. Kids will get to practice following visual instructions, problem-solving, and work on their alphabet at the same time.
Then complete the letter find at the bottom using snap cubes, toys, cereal snacks, or whatever is easy and fun that day.
Build it Numbers
Build and Show the number with this fun math activity. Use Dulpo Legos or other blocks to form the number. Then show the number using blocks or some other toy or manipulative in the box below.
Count and Fill Tubes
Work on grip strength, fine motor, color sorting, and counting with this fun activity. We used craft tubes and set them on the number circles.
Give the kids a pair of tongs and a tub of pom poms and let them count, sort, and fill the tubes.
Paint Can Colors
Sort colors with this fun paint themed page. We used pom poms but you could also use buttons or colored cereal snacks.
Watermelon Alphabet Find
Hunt for matching alphabet letters in this fun summer-themed activity. Use actual watermelon seeds, pumpkin seeds, black pom poms, or buttons to cover the matching letters.
The smaller the manipulative, the harder it is for little hands to pinch, pick up, and drop. That means you can pick the size of your “seeds” to match the fine motor skills development level of your child and adjust to meet different levels.
Color Match Rainbows
Combine colors, engineering, and fine motor fun with this awesome Random Rainbows activity.
Kids roll out playdough balls and place them on the color circles. Then they link the two matching color circles with a pom pom to make random, fun color arch patterns.
Race Track Shapes
Add cars to your learning for some INSTANT fun. Take several laps around your shape track with a car before tracing it with a dry erase marker.
For kids who are ready, have them trace the shape word as well.
Roll, Count & Cover Sunflowers
Choose your level for this math activity. Use one dice as shown or choose the higher number, 2-dice option. Kids can roll a dice, count the dots, and then cover the matching number to work on multiple early math skills like counting, subitizing, and/or one-to-one correspondence.
